BIA Umbrellas: Special Member Only Offer

As summer begins to wind down and fall is on the horizon we have negotiated BIA Member Only pricing for those of you that would like to purchase umbrellas for the 2023 season. The deadline for ordering is August 29th, 2022 (12 days from today). The umbrellas that are in Springer Market Square this year (pictured above) are slightly different version, purchased from the same company and we have been extremely satisfied with them. If we can get enough umbrellas for a bulk order of minimum 25 units, we can offer better pricing for everyone.

Ideas Bucket

Some of the best events and experiences came from a crazy idea or conversation that started with 'what if we ....'.

As we go into planning for 2023, we want to hear from you. Do you have new ideas for events, street beautification, community spaces, art installations, markets, Springer Market Square activation?

Or maybe you have ideas on how to improve downtown Kingston ie. garbage collection, homelessness, safety, office/commercial business expansion.

The sky is the limit! No idea is bad. Keep it positive and solution-focused. Anyone can submit ideas.

If you have a patio that extends on a sidewalk or road, please remind your staff that the A-frame/sandwich board has to be placed inside the patio area for accessibility purposes.

Need a parking Space?

Keystone Property Management has various locations available (mainly located on Brock Street, Princess Street, and Queen Street between Barrie Street and Sydenham Street). There are single double spots (fits 2 vehicles and can be shared) available all of which are outdoors and winter maintained. Rates start at $130/month. Food Vendors needed for Intercultural Arts Festival

The Kingston Intercultural Arts Festival is seeking food vendors (established restaurants) for the 2022 Intercultural Arts Festival to sell food to the visiting public and festival participants. Businesses interested in receiving an application form should contact Sue Hitchcock, Assistant Supervisor, Special Events Office, City of Kingston Submission deadline August 19, 2022.
