 Candidate Profile

I opened Amanda’s House of Elegance originally on Ontario Street but moved to 70 Princess Street 5-6 years ago. I have a background in structural and interior design, and a decade of experience in real estate. For the past 10 years I have been buying rental properties, developing, flipping, and selling properties, and until a few years ago I had my real estate licence. I’m an out-of-the-box thinker, creative, and cognisant of budgets and financials, I also have an in-depth understanding of construction and development.

I am passionate about the Post Covid survival of small businesses downtown, urban intensification and making Kingston a unique destination. I would focus on the Tannery and Block 4 Development, beautifying downtown, seeking solutions to the homelessness issues, and how to better use community spaces.

I've travelled all around the world but Kingston is one of the most amazing cities and I would be honoured to be part of making the future of Kingston even bigger and brighter.
