 Candidate Profile

Born and raised in Montreal and studied at St. Lawrence College because of its well-known advertising & marketing program. When visiting Kingston, I immediately fell in love. I graduated with a diploma in Advertising and Intergraded Marketing Communications and began a career in advertising. I began working for, Kingston Publications which boosted many great magazines such as Kingston Life and Key to Kingston with emphasis on Kingston lifestyle and the tourism market. From there I moved into hotel sales and began the next stage of my career in hospitality working for Diamond Hotels Inc., a locally owned and operated company, where I was able to grow my skill set from sales into operations and where I currently stand today as a General Manager of a 4-star hotel in the city.

With two years in local publications and 15 years in hospitality, I am committed to the growth of our city and supporting new projects that attract more people to Kingston and its downtown. I currently belong to the following committees and councils which let me contribute, stay engaged and up to date on the trends in hospitality, tourism, and many developing industries: Tourism Kingston Marketing Committee, Marriott Canada Business Council, Program Advisory Committee for the Hospitality and Tourism Programs at St. Lawrence College

I am passionate about seeing the people of the community walk around downtown, visit the market to pick fresh flowers, enjoy a drink with a friend on a patio, take the family to a Frontenac game and walk down the street with bags filled from our local shops. Watching memories being created and new traditions started is what truly fuels my love and passion for downtown Kingston. I hope to bring more focus on activities in downtown Kingston, places to see and visit, and where to shop and eat. I want our community to know the faces and places that make up our beautiful downtown.
