Exploring Community Spaces in downtown Kingston

02f9f3f19a94dc49fa5a04748ac72cd5

Join us as we explore pedestrian and active transportation community spaces in Downtown Kingston including car-free zones that may include activation of both temporary as well as potential permanent street closures starting in the summer of 2023.

Pedestrian zones for downtown Kingston have a two-fold purpose: to enhance quality of life by creating inclusive pedestrian-friendly areas, and to attract more people to the downtown core and create more foot traffic to local businesses and services.

There are many things to consider to ensure that downtown businesses benefit from any proposed changes.
Downtown business owner and employee engagement is a critical component in the development of an activation/animation plan of this scope and nature.
