"Outstanding in the Street" Nomination Rules and Regulations


Eligibility for Nominations
Nominations are open to all members of the community and stakeholders who have been positively impacted by individuals in downtown Kingston.

Nomination Submission
Nominations can be submitted via email, mail, or through an online submission form provided by the organization.

Each nomination should include the nominee's name, contact information, and a detailed narrative explaining why they deserve recognition.

Nomination Period
The nomination period is from Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at 8:00 pm to Friday, October 27th, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

Multiple Nominations
Multiple nominations for the same individual are allowed, but each nomination must provide unique insights and reasons for the nominee's recognition.

Nominee Acceptance
Nominees should be made aware of their nomination and must consent to being considered for the recognition.

Selection Process
The winner will be chosen by a committee comprising members of the Board of Management and staff of the Downtown Kingston BIA.
The selection committee will review all nominations in each category and consider the impact of the nominee on the downtown Kingston community.

Criteria for Evaluation
The selection committee will evaluate nominations based on the nominee's positive contributions to downtown Kingston, their inspiration to others, and their overall impact on the community.

Winner Announcement
The organization will announce the winner at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) or through other communication channels as deemed appropriate.

Prizes and Recognition
The selected nominee will receive recognition and a prize as determined by the organization.

Decision Finality
The decision of the selection committee is final, and no appeals will be entertained.

Privacy and Data Usage
Nominee and nominator information will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of the nomination and selection process.

Disqualification
Nominations that do not adhere to these rules and regulations may be disqualified at the discretion of the organization.

Amendments:
The organization reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations as necessary, with any changes being communicated to the community.

By participating in the nomination process, all nominators and nominees agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
