Patios
The Street Patio Program plays a vital role in cultivating a lively and inviting environment in our beautiful historic downtown during the warmer seasons. Administered by the City of Kingston's transportation department, the program encourages businesses to select the most suitable patio configuration for their location, ensuring it meets minimum standards, operates safely, and maintains clear, accessible paths for pedestrians.
To achieve this, consider the space in front of and beside your business, surrounding streetscape elements, and pedestrian flow when choosing your configuration. By working together, we can create an enjoyable and safe experience for all while enhancing the vibrancy of our downtown core. We are grateful for your investment in an extraordinary outdoor dining experience. In case of any challenges, the BIA is available to provide assistance.
